    Tong Yuen

    Sunny Daytongyuen1

Today for Asia chinese ,is a big day celebration for them. Because  in chinese calender today is call “Dong Zi” mean all the chinese people will buy the glutinous rice to make a dough,it can be big or small sharp but in round. They only use two color which is white and red cos red is “good luck” for chinese. It can with or without ingredient inside. Beside that they will cook others dishes and gathering just like reunion. They believe this glutinous rice ball mean “Tong Yuen” is good luck and gathering.

This custom was began due to a fish village,  their food is only fish. One day when this family was having dinner and  in a sudden one of the family member get chock by a fish bone and feel  difficulty at the same time  a beggar come to thier house and beg  for food. In the house only have fish so they give beggar the fish,as a return the beggar give the family a dough which make from glutinous rice .The beggar ask them to feed the family member with it. So the fish bone will go with the dough and save his life. From than the villager believe  is a lucky day and all of them gather again with eating this glutinous rice dough.

So from time to time and century to century till today, all the chinese people will pray and cook the glutinous rice ball and celebrate. And is easy to cook. First, just cook the water with ginger and a littler of “gula melaka” call it brown sugar and few fragrance leave  till the water boil  then put the gultinous rice ball in. After it cook just serve it very easy .

    “WISH  EVERYBODY  HAPPY   “DONG ZI”

    Raining Day.

Today been raining for the whole day. Chris been saying he is the one who’s bring the from Aceh Indonesia til Malacca. Cos from the first day chris and janne both landed Achec it start to rain and they can’t do much in Aceh Indonesia. When both of them come to Malacca also rain. Even the few day they was here and keep saying want to go for a swim but can’t come true. Too bad.

Well on the 3rd day chris and janne try tomyam and chicken clear soup steamboat. They like it but was to spicy for tomyam due to karen mix more chilie into it. and the worst things that night whoever take tomyam get a serious stomachache and diarrhea.

On the next day morning chris and janne dare not order or request for spicy foods. Is a very bad experience. But both of them very happy with the journey in Malacca.

Today is a sunny day. Chris who’s from australia just reach Malaysia and in Melaka town yesterday night . He and his friends Yanni both of them are a good diver . And they last embark is Indonesia. when the moment they reach Melaka first things they request to have Hokkien friend noodles. Suprise! So he told me that when the last two month they stay at Malaysia Perhentian Island my girl friends karen been cooking this noodles everyday and they love it.

But too bad , the time was late and we only can bring them to try our most tradisional malay foods call “Mee goreng pedas” mean spicy friends noodle, “Satay” mean B.B Q meat. Well the way of cooking is different from chinese foods. And guess what the rates for this spicy friends noodles. the choice is 1 to 5 so the answer is 2 . Very bad .

So we proceed to another place where is a clubbing and it happen there having a Miss Melaka beauty contest and we order the famous chicken wings which this dish only can get it at this clubbing due to the chef he marinated with his own recipe. Wow! with the beer go with the chicken wings and the contest so imagine that how wonderfull is that. God! the rate is 5

Both if them will continue enjoy the local foods here till they go back to Australia.Hope they will like Heritage Melaka.

Well i will like to share today is about hattyai trips that i just back on 22nd of nov 08. The seafood there is nice and fresh but is a little expensive maybe we are tourist. We order the famous tomyam fish is very spicy but the color don’t look like so if anybody like spicy food than you should try it .Than we order grill sweet and sour fish ,crab, prawn and veg. the portion is for 10 adult and three kids.Total cost us about RM 495.00. So what you guy thing about it? Is it expensive? This place one of my friends had been there and that time they also order the same dish but is for six person so it cost them abot RM95.00.

But for girl who’s like shopping you should go there and shop till you drop. There have a lot of variety for girl to choose and buy. Well come to guy i think don’t introduce much you guy will know where to go.

The last i will like to share and is a must try is there famous massage. who ever like for relax you should try it out and is cheap 2 hours cost you RM 30.00 so what you guy waiting?
